Privacy Policy
How this site handles your data — the short version: it does not collect any.
Last updated: 22 October 2026
1. What this site is
viptools.site is a free collection of browser-based tools for PDFs, images, video, audio, text and everyday calculations. It is a static website — plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript. There is no account system, no database and no server-side code that receives or handles what you enter into a tool.
2. The short version
- No accounts, no sign-up, no email address required.
- No cookies, no analytics, no advertising or tracking scripts.
- No uploads: files you open in a tool are processed on your own device.
- No third-party services embedded in the pages — fonts, icons and code all load from this domain.
3. Files you open in a tool
Every tool is implemented in JavaScript and runs inside your browser tab. When you open a PDF, an image, a video or an audio file, the browser reads it with its own built-in APIs. Nothing is transmitted, and no copy is written to a server. Results you export — converted images, merged PDFs, a compressed video, a generated ZIP — are produced locally in the same tab and handed to your browser’s normal download mechanism.
Working data lives in memory for as long as the tab is open. Closing or reloading the page discards it. Your files are never archived, indexed, shared or seen by the operator of this site, because they never leave your machine.
4. Camera and microphone
A few tools need live media: the microphone and camera test, the noise and tone generators, the metronome, the lyric visualiser. Your browser asks for permission before any device is opened, and you can refuse without breaking the rest of the site. The stream is consumed inside the tab only; nothing is recorded unless you start a recording yourself, and any recording is produced as a file on your device rather than sent anywhere.
5. Data stored in your browser
Two preferences are remembered between visits: your language (English or Chinese) and your light or dark theme. A handful of tools also remember their last settings — the cities you added to World Clock, your Pomodoro durations, a smoking-quit start date. All of this sits in your browser’s localStorage, on your device. It is not a cookie, it is never transmitted, and clearing site data for this domain removes it completely.
6. Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies. It does not use Google Analytics, Plausible, Matomo or any other traffic-analysis product, and there are no advertising, remarketing or social-media pixels. Because nothing is measured, there is no visitor profile to sell, share, leak or lose.
7. Network requests and server logs
The pages are self-contained. Typefaces, the icon set, the tool scripts and every supporting library are served from this same domain — there is no CDN, no font host and no remote API call when you open a page or run a tool. The only network traffic is the request for the page and its assets from the server hosting this site.
Like any web server, that server sees the IP address, the requested URL and the user agent of each request, and keeps access logs. Those logs are used only for operating the site — diagnosing errors, blocking abuse, capacity planning — and are not combined with anything else to build profiles of individuals.
8. Tools labelled “AI”
Some tools carry an AI label: the tarot reader, the trajectory art generator, the text adventure, the chat-style companion. They are not connected to any language model or remote inference service. They run on built-in data and local algorithms — a card deck with written interpretations, a flow-field simulation, a branching scene engine, scripted personas. Your input to those tools is not transmitted or stored.
9. Self-assessment questionnaires
Two tools pose wellbeing questions and score your answers. The scoring happens in the tab, the answers are not sent anywhere, and nothing is saved unless a tool explicitly offers to keep a record locally. These tools are for personal reflection only. They are not a diagnosis, not medical or psychological advice, and not a substitute for a qualified professional.
10. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone, so no special handling or parental consent flow is required.
11. Your choices
You can erase everything this site has stored by clearing site data or localStorage for this domain in your browser settings. There is nothing to delete on the server side, because nothing was ever sent to it. You can also block JavaScript entirely; the pages will still load, though the tools will not run.
12. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version is published on this page with a new date at the top. Substantial changes are also noted in the changelog.
